Dr. Tran Van Son was born in 1960 in the rice-growing land of Thai Binh, a land with a rich tradition of learning. In 1977, after graduating from high school, he passed the entrance exam to the University of Pharmacy and was selected by the State to study Law in the Soviet Union.

From 1978 to 1984, he studied at Kiev State University (former Soviet Union). After returning to Vietnam, he worked at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. From 1990 to 2001, he continued to be sent to the Russian Federation for PhD training at the Moscow State University of Economics and Statistics and the Moscow Legal Academy.

During that time, he established a joint venture company in the Autonomous Republic of Bashkiria to provide legal consulting services and business support for Vietnamese people doing business there. In 2002, Mr. Tran Van Son returned to Vietnam to start a business with the desire to contribute to the development of the country and established Viet Trust Technology Investment and Development Joint Stock Company in 2003 – the predecessor of today’s TONMAT Group. In addition, he also founded Viet Trust Law Office to continue providing legal support to accompany domestic enterprises in their development. Currently, under his leadership, TONMAT Group has become the leading insulation solution provider in Vietnam. Despite holding a high position in a large corporation, Mr. Tran Van Son is still known as a discreet, simple person who is always dedicated to the community.
